Gazebo stitching

Our new gazebo is now furnished and I've been spending my mornings out there, coffee by my side, stitching. I've spent most of this past week on my exchange piece which I'm not able to show but I've also spent some quality time with LHN America (Canadian version). I'm really pleased with how the flag turned out but not as pleased with the vine placement. I'm hoping it will look alright when finished. I had to move the vine over some because otherwise it was going to end up trailing right down the centre and cover the maple leaf.
I'm also still playing around with different colours for the roof of the house. Not having the blue in our flag I thought that I might use it for the roof. I just haven't settled on the right shade yet. Without the blue, the design didn't seem to have enough colour with only the brown, white and red.
That's about all I have time to show you for now. My sister is here visiting this week from Michigan. Since my DH is tied up in a conference most of the week we have a lot of time to ourselves to shop and do some daytrips. Today we are off to the village of Merrickville to check out all its quaint shops. I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week. Happy Stitching!

  7. Oh, I've always wanted a gazebo! I can just picture you sitting there stitching, Lynn!

Your LHN Canadian piece is lovely. Did you design the flag yourself? I did the American version and it's one of my favorites :)

    Enjoy your sister's visit!

  11. What a lovely stitching spot! Sounds just perfect to me. It wouldn't work where I live though because it is just to hot and humid to stitch outside most of the summer. I like the way your Canadian flag piece is working up.
