It's an absolutely gorgeous fall day here! It's actually more like summer than fall if it weren't for all the changing colours. I've been busy over the past week doing up some of my previous fall finishes which can be seen on my previous post. Now I have lots of lovely little pillows to add to my fall decor!
In keeping with autumn, I've continued to work on my Carriage House Samplings Pumpkin Farm. I apologize for the lighting in the pictures. My camera battery needs recharging and I wanted to get this post up before the deadline.
Lots of autumn colour and fun little motifs to stitch! It's moving along quite well now. It won't be long before I'm on to the border.
I decided to pick out a Halloween start as well which I've had in my stash since last year. I found a fabric that I thought would work but it was 40 ct which I've never stitched on. Well it's about time don't you think? So I plunged right in and here's where I am at this point.
This is another prim fall stitch which I'm really enjoying. I also finished off another small by With Thy Needle & Thread, ABC For Crow Pinkeep, which can be seen on my previous post. It's also an autumn finish.
As for money spent this month, well, I've decided to use this as my exemption month. I saved a little cash stash over the summer and broke down to use it on many of the new market releases as well as some fabric.
See!
All told, this spree totaled $170.23 which of course is well above my $25 allowance and is exactly why I have chosen this to be my exemption month. I know myself and I know that I will always spend more in the fall than at Christmas. Why? Well it's because fall is my favourite season and I love so many of the designs out there for fall/Halloween. The colours just speak to me. So I'm begging mercy and taking September as my exemption month. I think I've got things out of my system now and can behave for the rest of the year!
Now I'm off to see what the rest of you have been up to. It's also a beautiful summerlike day here so I'm heading out to the gazebo with stitching in hand. Enjoy your day!

The Carriage House Samplings project is really cute! It looks like you had fun splurging on some goodies this month. You'll have lots to stitch to keep you out of trouble the rest of the year!! : )
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful autumn sampling !!!
ReplyDeleteSo much work for you !!!
Love the progress on Pumpkin Farm! I can't even see 32ct let alone 40 ct but yours looks lovely. Love all the new stash too!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching! I have a bit of 40 count but haven't decided what to do with it yet.
ReplyDeleteExcellent stash! If you feel the slightest bit guilty about spending so much you could send it to me so you don't have to look at it...
Love your finish, your start looks interesting, I will continue to follow to see the finish.
ReplyDeleteLove love your new stash.
Blessings
Catherine
Great progress on Pumpkin Farm.
ReplyDeleteIs that a Fancey Blackett?
Great Fall stash you gotten.
The weather here has been beautiful also.
Marilyn
What beautiful stitching! Fall really is in the air - and your stitches - HA! Love, LOVE your stash. (Isn't it fun?!?)

Che bei lavori, anch'io adoro l'autunno e Halloween! E quanti acquisti!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new stash Lynn, I think it's a smart move taking your exemption month for your favourite season. I love Pumpkin Farm, the colours are great.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes.
Just found your blog. Lovely CHS stitching. xx
ReplyDeleteOOOhhhh, lovely new stash, my favorite is Blackbirds Spell of the Moon. Your two wips are looking great too, doing ones with the little motifs are such fun, like lots of little finishes. The new start on the 40 count will be awesome, but I can't imagine trying to do 40 ct and be able to see it. I'm ok with 32 ct., 36 ct really pushes it. Love the effect of 40 ct, the finishing is so fine on that. Sue
ReplyDeleteWe are also enjoying some great fall weather here - some fog in the morning, warm and mostly sunny days and cold nights. But I don't mind the cold nights because I don't spend my nights in the garden or on the terrace, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour Pumpkin piece is coming along great and the Halloween piece that you started will be great as well.
A good decision to take September as your free month. Oh my, such a lovely amount of new charts and fabric. And as usual I love all your new charts, they would be perfect for me, too, lol. Enjoy stitching them.
Your CHS piece is looking gorgeous as is your new start.
ReplyDeleteOooh lots and lots of lovely new stash. I don't blame you for taking your exemption month. I was having mine in December but I'm taking it next month instead.
