For this month's ornament I decided to stitch a saying from one of my favourite novels, Little Women. It had been years since I'd first read this and when I was gifted with a Kobo reader, Little Women was one of the free books that came with it. This Christmas I picked it up and read it once more, enjoying it just as if it were the first time I'd read it. Following my finish I remembered that I had this chart from The Sampler Girl in my stash. This passage was taken directly from the book.
It stitched up a little larger than I expected so it may end up being a small pillow rather than a tree ornament.

Sweet! ;)
Very pretty, well done!
I have this chart and love this saying too. My Kobo is now my new best friend but I've always loved reading on it. I hope to stitch this design closer to Christmas :)
Thanks for visiting my blog I'm delighted to have found yours and to follow now. I love your ornament I remember reading Little Women as a young girl and it's still one of my favourites. Jo and Beth were my favourite characters by far.
Nice! I've just been thinking about rereading Little Women, so your post was well timed, too.
Oh I do so love literary ornies! Congrats on perfect stitching and memories of much loved books. :)
I had forgotten how much I loved that read. Your February Stitch is beautiful.
Lovely finish. I enjoyed reading Little Women before too, as well as the Anne of Green Gables series.
