Thanksgiving Wishes

I just wanted to take the time to wish all of my fellow Canadian bloggers a very Happy Thanksgiving. As we take the time to give thanks for our many blessings may we be always mindful of the needs of the less fortunate.

It's a beautiful autumn day here and I plan on taking in some stitching time as well as the turkey. I'll have some finishes to show off in the next post.
As we prepare to sit down and partake of our holiday meal I thought I'd post this little ditty that I received in the mail from a dear friend this past week. I've seen it on other bloggers sites as well but thought that it was cute and I'd post it here too.

May your stuffing be tasty,

May your turkey be plump,

May your potatoes and gravy,

Have never a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs!

  2. Happy Thanksgiving Lynn, I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday. Our family gathered yesterday as this is the year our daughters do to the in-laws. So today it is my husband Steve and my Mom, we are enjoying a quiet day. We have turkey soup brewing on the stove and will have turkey pot pie for supper. I love left overs! All the best to you, hopefully we will get to meet each other in the new future. Happy stitching!

  8. I sure hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are relaxing with a stitch in hand. Not sure about the weekend since I haven't caught up with Kerry yet but I will try to today.
    Be always in stitches.

  9. Hi Lynn,

Well, all I can say to that little
verse is ... amen to that!!

I have been loving your current
    stitch Halloween Cove ever since
you started it and now it's so
    tantalizingly close to being a
    new finish for you.

I have to get a few of these designs to add to my collection because your stitching projects have showcased and showed them
off to their best advantage ...
and they look like fun. Do you
plan to stitch any of the other seasons/holidays in this series?

    Your new SAL location sounds
perfect for your group and it's
nice that your numbers can now
    increase because of the larger
    space.

How did the sleep clinic go??
I'm not sure how they're suppose
to be able to judge your sleeping
habits during such a short time
and in such an unrestful environ-
ment. I'd never be able to fall
asleep all wired up and in a
strange bed. Still, I hope that
they'll be able to help you
figure out why you're so tired.

    Your pumpkin pinkeep "We Lift
    up our Hearts..." is lovely
and your finishing of it is
    beautifully done. And the
    your pin pillow finish of
    "Peekin' Tom" is wonderful
    too. I really like these
    long pillow finishes with
    the fabric showing on one
    half and the stitched bit
    at the other end.

LHN Red House in Winter is
    another of your finishes
that got me eager to stitch
    the design myself. Please
    stop doing that...

    Love the picture of darling
    Clarisse in the blue garbage
    can. She's so sweet.

    Cheers!
